tuesday text v1 3000x1704

Thought to share: I enjoy you. I like being with you. I want to spend time with you. I find pleasure in you. You are not just a face in the crowd. I know you deeply and you are a delight to ME. Your neediness is not a burden to ME. You are a joy.

Psalm 139:1-6 (TPT) Lord, you know everything there is to know about me. You perceive every movement of my heart and soul, and you understand my every thought before it even enters my mind. You are so intimately aware of me, Lord. You read my heart like an open book and you know all the words I’m about to speak before I even start a sentence! You know every step I will take before my journey even begins. You’ve gone into my future to prepare the way, and in kindness you follow behind me to spare me from the harm of my past. With your hand of love upon my life, you impart a blessing to me. This is just too wonderful, deep, and incomprehensible! Your understanding of me brings me wonder and strength.

Psalm 147:11 (NLT) No, the LORD’s delight is in those who fear Him, those who put their hope in His unfailing love.

Psalm 149:4 (Amp) For the LORD takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the humble with salvation.

Zephaniah 3:17 (GNT) The LORD will take delight in you, and in His love He will give you new life. He will sing and be joyful over you,

  1. Remember when you asked me to do the devotional for the Western Theme PJ party. Haha. I googled ‘love scriptures’ and Zephaniah 3:17 popped up. I thought to myself…”.no one reads Zephaniah! What does Sarah Young have to say today?” I opened my devotional book and her scripture reference from the previous day was Zephaniah 3:17. I was shocked! Nobody reads that book, I thought. As I read the verse, I could picture myself on Abba’s lap and Him singing over me….calming me down, drying my tears, and giving me rest from the stresses of life. From that moment on, I’ve frequently found myself there. My goal is to crawl out of bed and onto His lap so we can plan the day together verses feeling a little rushed the days that I wait until the afternoon. Thank you for sharing His heart.
