2019 Tuesday Text

Thought to share: Worry blocks MY Presence. Worry prevents you from hearing MY voice. Worry will keep you from seeing MY hand working in your situation. I tell you not to worry because worry disconnects you from ME. So when worry presents itself to you, convert them into prayer, laying them all at MY feet. And as you do, I’ll exchange those worries for MY peace.

Matthew 6:25-34 (TPT) This is why I tell you to never be worried about your life, for all that you need will be provided, such as food, water, clothing—everything your body needs. Isn’t there more to your life than a meal? Isn’t your body more than clothing? Look at all the birds—do you think they worry about their existence? They don’t plant or reap or store up food, yet your heavenly Father provides them each with food. Aren’t you much more valuable to your Father than they? So, which one of you by worrying could add anything to your life? And why would you worry about your clothing? Look at all the beautiful flowers of the field. They don’t work or toil, and yet not even Solomon in all his splendor was robed in beauty more than one of these! So if God has clothed the meadow with hay, which is here for such a short time and then dried up and burned, won’t he provide for you the clothes you need—even though you live with such little faith? So then, forsake your worries! Why would you say, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear?’ For that is what the unbelievers chase after. Doesn’t your heavenly Father already know the things your bodies require? So above all, constantly chase after the realm of God’s kingdom and the righteousness that proceeds from him. Then all these less important things will be given to you abundantly. Refuse to worry about tomorrow, but deal with each challenge that comes your way, one day at a time. Tomorrow will take care of itself.”

Philippians 4:6-7 (NLT) Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

2019 Tuesday Text

Thought to share: Whenever you start to feel anxious or worried, remind yourself that your security rest in ME alone. I AM your source of rest and stability. I AM the ONE who protects and secures you. You will never be in control of your life’s circumstances, but you can trust ME to perfectly handle everything that comes your way.

Psalm 56:3-4 (TPT) But in the day that I’m afraid, I lay all my fears before you and trust in you with all my heart. What harm could a man bring to me? With God on my side I will not be afraid of what comes. The roaring praises of God fill my heart,  and I will always triumph as I trust his promises.

Proverbs 3:5-7 (TPT) Trust in the Lord completely, and do not rely on your own opinions. With all your heart rely on him to guide you, and he will lead you in every decision you make. Become intimate with him in whatever you do, and he will lead you wherever you go. Don’t think for a moment that you know it all, for wisdom comes when you adore him with undivided devotion and avoid everything that’s wrong.

Philippians 5:6-7 (TPT) Don’t be pulled in different directions or worried about a thing. Be saturated in prayer throughout each day, offering your faith-filled requests before God with overflowing gratitude. Tell him every detail of your life,  then God’s wonderful peace that transcends human understanding, will make the answers known to you through Jesus Christ.

Isaiah 12:2 (NLT) See, God has come to save me. I will trust in him and not be afraid. The Lord God is my strength and my song;  he has given me victory.

tuesday text v1 3000x1704

Thought to share: The cure for worry is to look at ME. Inspect MY faithfulness. Dig into MY goodness. Explore the vastness of MY great power and authority. Review MY ability to do the impossible. Examine MY deep love for you. As you inspect MY character, you’ll find worry dissipates like the dew on a bright sunny day.

Matthew 6:25-34 (MSG) “If you decide for God, living a life of God-worship, it follows that you don’t fuss about what’s on the table at mealtimes or whether the clothes in your closet are in fashion. There is far more to your life than the food you put in your stomach, more to your outer appearance than the clothes you hang on your body. Look at the birds, free and unfettered, not tied down to a job description, careless in the care of God. And you count far more to him than birds.

“Has anyone by fussing in front of the mirror ever gotten taller by so much as an inch? All this time and money wasted on fashion—do you think it makes that much difference? Instead of looking at the fashions, walk out into the fields and look at the wildflowers. They never primp or shop, but have you ever seen color and design quite like it? The ten best-dressed men and women in the country look shabby alongside them.

“If God gives such attention to the appearance of wildflowers—most of which are never even seen—don’t you think he’ll attend to you, take pride in you, do his best for you? What I’m trying to do here is to get you to relax, to not be so preoccupied with getting, so you can respond to God’s giving. People who don’t know God and the way he works fuss over these things, but you know both God and how he works. Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don’t worry about missing out. You’ll find all your everyday human concerns will be met.

“Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes.

tuesday text

Thought to consider: Worry is looking at situations from the wrong perspective. When you worry, you are choosing to look at things from the negative perspective. You’re considering what-ifs and adverse possibilities. You are exploring a life without ME and MY provision. And as you worry, you are establishing ruts of dark and harmful thinking. Instead, choose to look at your situations through Truth. Consider them in light of MY promises. View everything as an opportunity for ME to display MY goodness, faithfulness and love in your life. You are exploring a life where I AM your source. As you do this, you are walking the path of hope, joy and freedom.

Luke 12:22-26 (NLT) Then, turning to His disciples, Jesus said, “That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food to eat or enough clothes to wear. For life is more than food, and your body more than clothing. Look at the ravens. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for God feeds them. And you are far more valuable to Him than any birds! Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? And if worry can’t accomplish a little thing like that, what’s the use of worrying over bigger things?
Romans 15:13 (NLT) I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in Him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.
